Road trip! LARPage!
I have put up selected photos from my road trip to Grahamstown and ICON with Hodgestar and drnlm.
Also, the LARP which I’m supposed to be writing right now has a playtest on Sat 1st and will run at Dragonfire on Sat 8th.
It’s a science fiction LARP set in the same universe as Appointment at Atropos. While Atropos is all about the epic inter-species politics, Charybdis is intended to be more gritty and low-level space opera: belt miners, traders and pirates other traders.
Roleplayers — let me know if you’re interested in playing in either upcoming run.
Blast from the past
The band Atrina lives again! Here is their new website, where you can still download a bunch of their mp3s.
Marina Bychkova, who makes the most beautiful porcelain dolls in the world, has re-done her website. And her fans have started a forum for discussing her dolls and posting their own photos of dolls that they’ve bought. There’s also a Flickr group.
The fantasy webcomic Juathuur has a sequel, Gatecrash.
More LARP photos…
Photos for the second Chrysalids LARP are up on my flickr page. Photos taken by me, Lara, me again and Beth (group photo).
LARPs and photos
On Saturday I played in the first installment of Chrysalids, Beth’s LARP campaign. I have photos up on my flickr page; I took photos before the LARP, and Lara took some during.
Yesterday Simon, Michelle and I ran Revenge of the Yak again. Getting the requisite number of players was an epic saga, and eventually Andrea played again as a different character. It seemed to go well apart from that, although there are still a few inconsistencies in the LARP which ought to be sorted out.
About half an hour after the debriefing, I realised that I had completely forgotten to bring my camera. So no photos.
Simon and I are plotting an L5R LARP. But we’d also like to fix up Grove of Fallen Leaves and run it again. So little time…
